Fourier transforms on the quantum SU(1,1) group

چکیده
The main goal is to interpret the Askey-Wilson function and the corresponding transform pair on the quantum SU(1, 1) group. A weight on the C *-algebra of continuous functions vanishing at infinity on the quantum SU(1, 1) group is studied, which is left and right invariant in a weak sense with respect to a product defined using Wall functions. The Haar weight restricted to certain subalgebras are explicitly determined in terms of an infinitely supported Jackson integral and in terms of an infinitely supported Askey-Wilson type measure. For the evaluation the spectral analysis of explicit unbounded doubly infinite Ja-cobi matrices and some new summation formulas for basic hypergeometric series are needed. The spherical functions are calculated in terms of Askey-Wilson functions and big q-Jacobi functions. The corresponding spherical Fourier transforms are identified with special cases of the big q-Jacobi function transform and of the Askey-Wilson function transform.

SU(2) and SU(1, 1) Approaches to Phase Operators and Temporally Stable Phase States: Applications to Mutually Unbiased Bases and Discrete Fourier Transforms
We propose a group-theoretical approach to the generalized oscillator algebra Aκ recently investigated in J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 2010, 43, 115303. The case κ ≥ 0 corresponds to the noncompact group SU(1,1) (as for the harmonic oscillator and the Pöschl-Teller systems) while the case κ < 0 is described by the compact group SU(2) (as for the Morse system). We construct the phase operators and t...

In the first part of the paper kernels are constructed which meromorphically extend the Macdonald-Koornwinder polynomials in their degrees. In the second part of the paper the kernels associated with rank one root systems are used to define nonsymmetric variants of the spherical Fourier transform on the quantum SU(1, 1) group. Related Plancherel and inversion formulas are derived using double a...

We consider the quantum complexity of estimating matrix elements of unitary irreducible representations of groups. For several finite groups including the symmetric group, quantum Fourier transforms yield efficient solutions to this problem. Furthermore, quantum Schur transforms yield efficient solutions for certain irreducible representations of the unitary group. Beyond this, we obtain poly(n...

We consider two analytic representations of the SU(1,1) Lie group: the representation in the unit disk based on the SU(1,1) Perelomov coherent states and the Barut-Girardello representation based on the eigenstates of the SU(1,1) lowering generator. We show that these representations are related through a Laplace transform. A " weak " resolution of the identity in terms of the Perelomov SU(1,1)...

We consider an SU(1,1) interferometer employing four-wave mixers that is fed with two-mode states which are both coherent and intelligent states of the SU(1,1) Lie group. It is shown that the phase sensitivity of the interferometer can be essentially improved by using input states with a large photon-number difference between the modes. The improvement of measurement accuracy in interferometers...
